Carie and Josh planned the perfect wedding, 10 am ceremony at Lake Shawnee and brunch at their favorite breakfast spot, Banjo's Cafe. This couple has been amazing to work with and I am so thrilled that they allowed me to be apart of their big day. We started the day off at the couple's home, where they, along with Josh's children, were getting ready for the wedding. We then moved to the lake, where they had their ceremony under a beautiful stone gazebo. After the wedding, everybody took off to Banjo's and had a big brunch. The food looked amazing and their muffins were delicious. After brunch, everybody went their separate ways. However, we were not done with pictures yet. We headed back to the lake, where we took some more intimate portraits of the newlywed couple. After all that, we went back to Josh and Carie's home, because we could not leave Carie's pup Zoey, out of the pictures.

It looks as though I have some catching up to do! We have been so busy with the purchase and remodel of our building that it doesn't seem like there are ever going to be enough hours in the day.

I was so excited when Melissa came to me for her family session. Originally we planned for a winter session, she would have loved to have pictures in the snow! However, mother nature did not work with us on the snow. So, we set a spring date instead.

I am excited to be photographing Melissa's extended family session this coming weekend as well!

It was a beautiful day at the lake and actually my first time shooting there. That lighting is gorgeous and just look at that family!
